Chris Merkl 

PROJECT MANAGER

Mr. Merkl brings over 30 years experience to GOTECH as a Project Manager. His wide range of experience and knowledge of the Water and Sewer divisions within the Department of Public Works earned him the titles of Director and Managing Director of Public Works. Following Hurricane Katrina and Rita, he was responsible for supervising the expenditure of one half billion dollars of FEMA obligated funding.  

He is currently involved with the City of New Orleans Office of Recovery Management Public Infrastructure project, as well as the New Orleans Recovery School District Program and Louisiana Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program. For the Public Infrastructure Project, Mr. Merkl's duties include planning, design and oversight of infrastructure utility design and analysis. 

Mr. Merkl is responsible for site reviews as part of GOTECH's construction management services and program management services for the rebuilding of the public school systems. Mr. Merkl will provide professional services for the Louisiana Office of Community Development including program implementation, monitoring all disaster recovery unit infrastructure programs and reviewing progress reporting system on time and cost.
